The Surgical Innovation and Technology Center

The Surgical Innovation and Technology Center, is a basic and applied research facility with emphasis on areas related to Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS). In addition, we specialize in addressing the fields of trauma, critical care and imaging. Our laboratory provides an environment for integrating diverse research efforts related to the science of surgery, and to encourage the pursuit of basic and applied research by clinicians and industry in this field.

The Center for Surgical Innovation and Technology offers comprehensive services to design, build, and test novel technologies or surgical techniques in all fields of surgery as well as invasive radiology/cardiology. Our facility is equipped with State-of-the-Art equipment for studies including but not limited to:

• Fluoroscopy
• Ultrasound
• Laparoscopy
• Endoscopy
• Cardio-Pulmonary Bypass

Services available upon special request include but are not limited to:
Clinical pathology, Histopathology, CT, MRI.
